Fostering a Respectful Community
At Deeditt, our goal is to create a safe and inspiring space for users to share stories, support one another, and grow together. These Community Guidelines set expectations for behavior and interactions to ensure everyone feels welcome and valued.
Age and Suitability
Minimum age: A Deeditt account is for people aged 18 and over, as set out in ourTerms and Conditions. We do not design, market or recommend Deeditt to anyone under 18, and ourChild Safety Policy explains how we act on content involving minors.
Private by default: Your journal entries in Memories, and the Insights written from them, are private. They are never published, never shown to other users and never part of any public feed. Most of what Deeditt does is something you do alone.
What is social: The parts other people can see are the deeds and journeys you choose to publish, the comments on them, who you follow, and direct conversations between accounts. Videos are public to anyone. Everything in this list is covered by the content standards below.
Controls in your hands: You can mute an account so its content no longer reaches you, block an account from your conversations, and report any deed from within the app. Reports are reviewed, and content that breaks these guidelines is removed without notice.
Moderation covers everything public: Not only video. Every public deed, journey, comment and profile is subject to review under the standards on this page.
Content Standards
Authenticity: Share genuine experiences and insights. Avoid posting misleading or deceptive content.
Appropriateness: Content should be suitable for a diverse audience. Avoid explicit, graphic, or offensive material that could alienate or harm others.
Legality: Do not post content that promotes or glorifies illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, violence, or abuse.
Video Content Guidelines
Public Nature: All videos uploaded to Deeditt are public and can be viewed by anyone. Please keep this in mind when deciding what to share.
Appropriate Content: Videos must adhere to our general content standards. This means no explicit sexual content, graphic violence, hate speech, or other material that could harm or disturb viewers.
Copyright and Ownership: Only upload videos that you have created or have the rights to share. Using copyrighted music, footage, or other content without permission is prohibited.
Personal Information: Avoid sharing videos that reveal personal information about yourself or others, such as addresses, phone numbers, or identifying documents.
Consent: Ensure you have the consent of all identifiable individuals who appear in your videos. Do not upload videos of people in private settings without their knowledge and permission.
No Misinformation: Do not use videos to spread false information, particularly regarding public health, safety, elections, or civic matters.
Technical Requirements: Videos must comply with our technical specifications (maximum 50MB, 60 seconds, and supported formats). Videos that don't meet these requirements may not upload correctly.
Content Moderation: All videos are subject to review. Videos that violate our guidelines may be removed without notice, and repeated violations may result in account restrictions.
Positive Interactions
Respect Others: Treat all users with respect, regardless of their background, beliefs, or opinions. Avoid personal attacks, hate speech, or discriminatory language.
Encourage Growth: Offer constructive feedback and celebrate others' achievements. Be a source of positivity and encouragement.
Prohibited Behaviors
Harassment: Bullying, intimidation, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
Spamming: Avoid posting repetitive, irrelevant, or promotional content that disrupts the community experience.
Impersonation: Misrepresenting yourself or others, including brands and public figures, is prohibited.
Maintaining a Safe Environment
Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal or sensitive information without explicit consent.
Security: Use strong, unique passwords to protect your account. Report any suspicious activity or breaches immediately.
Reporting Violations
How to Report: Use the reporting tools available on our platform to flag content or behavior that violates these guidelines.
Actions Taken: Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning, depending on the severity of the offense.
Updating the Guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect the evolving needs of our community. Significant updates may be communicated to users via email or a notice on the platform.
