Although I know how to #swim, I've never ventured into open waters before. I'm #scared and uncertain about where to start, especially since I'm in #Dublin, where the water isn't the warmest.
Preparing for my #first open water #swim has been quite an adventure. I've gathered the basics: a cap, goggles, towel, and a tow float (which I might need to replace since it seems too small).
Today, I finally took the plunge! 🌊 This morning, I checked the weather, wind, currents, and water temperature. Excited and a bit scared, I ventured out with 12°C water and 14 km/h winds. ❄️
The good #weather is back, and I'm ready to try swimming in open water again this season. I've been practicing in a pool and have improved, but I'm still not good enough for long distances yet.
