We're visiting #Nicaragua ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ โ€” my home country. The trip from Ireland is long, but this change of environment, even if just for a week once a year, feels deeply worth it. And honestly, I think the one enjoying it the most is my son๐Ÿฃ.

Everything here is different. We're surrounded by #family โ€” a big, warm, ever-moving family. It's the simple life of a small town: quiet, humble, but so full of life ๐Ÿ™Œ. We're staying in a large house with an enormous backyard, trees, plants, dogs, cats, and other animals. There's space to run, get dirty, explore, and be curious. For a child, it's one big adventure.

People come and go from the house constantly โ€” to sell something ๐Ÿฅ‘, to say hi, to share a moment. Lucien watches us interact, sees how open and spontaneous everything feels ๐Ÿ‘‹. Itโ€™s a busy home in the best way possible. Thereโ€™s always something happening.

He's picking fruits straight from the trees, watching tropical storms pour down with force โ›ˆ๏ธ, helping clean the garden, discovering bugs, and even spotting turtles that come out when it rains. He's eating new fruits, trying different foods, and absorbing it all with a smile.

We're on vacation. This isn't our usual life. Back in Ireland, everything is more structured โ€” we have everything we need, but maybe we miss this warmth, this human simplicity. Being here makes me reflect on what truly matters ๐Ÿ˜Œ.

I've asked Lucien several times how he's feeling, and he always says the same thing: "I'm having a great time". He's #happy. He's free. I'm sure he misses his toys and his room, but this short change has done him (and all of us) a world of good.
