During our trip to Nicaragua, I noticed something simple but deep, my son was different.

He laughed louder. Ran longer. Asked more questions.

At first, I thought it was just the joy of the holidays but then I saw it.. the #space. He could move, explore, and get curious without limits. Even watching ants carrying leaves to their nest became an adventure.

Something so ordinary turned into a #story.

Back home in Ireland, we live in a big apartment. Cozy, yes, but every corner already has a purpose. Plants, books, furniture, work desks.. there’s little room left for chaos, #imagination or a bit of harmless mess.

And maybe that’s the real challenge of modern parenting:

we work hard to give our children safety and comfort.. yet in doing so, we often take away the freedom that once made childhood magical.

It’s not just about choosing between continents. It’s about finding a #balance between protection and discovery, between stability and space to grow.
